In love with alpaca wool
When I had my first daughter Ieva I wanted to create the most beautiful knit that is soft, warm and of course Eco friendly. It was a gorgeous overall knitted from softest baby alpaca wool and it became the favorite garment during late autumn and winter worn day-to-day.
After two years it was inherited by my second daughter Juste and after that I gave it to another mother who was very happy for her baby to wear it. That was a moment I understood - this is my future and a path I want to go. The idea of INGUGU was born - a clothing brand which offers you 100% organic quality knits for babies and children.
We cooperate with local woman and produce our knitwear using knitting machines. Then we wash them, dry them naturally and sew. We pack it in linen pouch along with lavender sachets to help avoid the moths. It is quite a long process and it takes about 2-4 days for each piece to make.
Our knitwear can be tagged as SLOW FASHION, SUSTAINABLE, FAIR TRADE and ECO FRIENDLY!
