When my first daughter Ieva was born, I wanted to wrap her in something truly special — soft, warm, and kind to the planet. So I knitted her a little overall from the finest baby alpaca wool I could find.
She wore it every autumn and winter. When my second daughter Justė arrived, it was passed down to her. And when Justė grew out of it, I gave it to another mother — who was overjoyed.
That moment changed everything.
I realised that a truly well-made piece doesn't end with one child. It travels. It lasts. It means something.
That's why Ingugu exists.
We create 100% certified organic baby alpaca knitwear for children and women — pieces that are soft enough for a newborn's skin, warm enough for a Baltic winter, and beautiful enough to be passed down.
Every item is knitted by a small team of skilled local women in Lithuania, then hand-washed and naturally dried. Every piece is wrapped in silk tissue paper or nestled in a cardboard gift box — plastic-free, ready to give.
Each piece takes 2 to 4 days to make. That's slow fashion — and we wear that proudly.
